Shannon Couffer is a Senior Attorney in the Litigation and Regulatory Law Group at Walgreen Co., where she is responsible for corporate regulatory law matters including FTC/FCC Compliance in advertising practices for all forms of media, customer financial privacy, FCPA & AML Compliance and FDA Package Review. She joined Walgreen Co. in 2006, and her role has expanded over time to provide guidance to business on a variety of complex issues facing drug store retailers.  Prior to joining Walgreen Co., Ms. Couffer spent 10 years in the Lake County, Illinois, State’s Attorney’s Office where she started as a criminal prosecutor and eventually transitioned into Civil Defense for Lake County Government, representing government entities such as the Lake County Health Department, Nursing Home and Coroner. Ms. Couffer received her law degree from the Loyola University Chicago and her B.S. in Nursing from St. Mary’s College, Indiana.
